LOHO Bride // Real Bride: Kelley + Nitin

This LOHO Real Bride holds a very special place in our hearts. Our girl Kelley is one of Christy's very best friends. Kelley and Nitin had a weekend long wedding that will go down in the books as the coolest blend of cultures, family, friends and love. She also killed it in her Mariana Hardwick "Jayde" dress. We're so proud to be a part of this wedding and can't wait to share it with you all.

Name: Kelley Spink

Dress: Mariana Hardwick "Jayde" Gown

Wedding Date & Venue: Oct 24th, 2015 at The Holly Farm in Carmel Valley

How did you and your partner meet?

We met through two of our best friends who started dating about a year before us, which makes our relationship even more special (they are now engaged too!). Chase, Nitin's friend, lived in NYC and would come to SF to see my roommate & best friend Devon. He brought his friends around when in town and one of them was Nitin -- lucky me! Dev would give me subtle hints about how wonderful he was, though we were friends for a year before starting to officially date. It was perfect and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way, our relationship is based on a deep friendship and respect for each other!

What about your gown spoke to you?

I love things in life that are different and make a statement, but not in an overpowering way. This dress was the perfect balance of unique, stunning and classic. It made me feel feminine and quite frankly brought out the best in me!

Favorite epic wedding moment?

On the night of the wedding a moonbow suddenly appeared around 11:00pm (this is a ring of light around the moon). As soon as people noticed it they started howling like wolves up at the sky. There was just something magical about the fact that it happened at the perfect time on that night. It felt like nature was watching & right there with us!

Any parting wisdom for future LOHO Brides?

As hard as it is, just relax and be present every step of the way, especially on the big day. It's easy to get caught up in the details (I'm extremely detail-oriented and wanted everyone to leave feeling it was the best experience) but in the end, everything falls into place. The people surrounding you and the significance of marrying the love of your life trumps all else -- make sure you absorb every second to the fullest!
